Hi Shipmates:
This year, 2010, our reunion is scheduled between April 29, 2010 and May 2, 2010 in Vicksburg, Mississippi. We will be staying at the Hampton Inn in Vicksburg. Vicksburg is a major Civil War battle site and as a result there is a very large National Military cemetery/park. We will be taking a bus tour around Vicksburg including the National Cemetery. Also scheduled is a boat ride on the Mississippi River. There are lots of shops in the downtown area for anyone interested in shopping. And last but not least there are multiple gambling casinos for anyone who has an inclination for contributing or gaining a few sheckles.
Since the time of last year’s reunion in Baltimore, 53 members have paid their dues for 2010 and several have paid for 2011 in advance. Of these, 18 members will be attending the 2010 Vicksburg reunion. There will also be 19 guests.
The officers of the Association, Paul Smith, Skipper; Al Clark, Secretary; Stu Norris, Membership; and Roger Roth, Treasurer wish you all good health for the remainder of 2010 and we hope to see more of you at next year’s reunion whose site will be determined at this years reunion.
